The annual Conaway Conferences, named after Don R. Conaway, an advocate of partnering between the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Ohio Contractors Association, attracts nearly 1,000 construction professionals annually. The Conaway Conference provides an opportunity for representatives of ODOT and the OCA to share industry innovations and best practices.
As part of the 2012 Conaway Conference, ODOT selected E.S. Wagner Company's Wilmington Bypass Projects (ODOT Project 08-507 & 09-0244, Clinton County) to highlight the opportunities and successes of true project partnering.
Sohrab Mostaed, ODOT District 8 Resident Engineer and Bernie Goetz, P.E., E.S. Wagner Company Project Manager served as the organizations' respective senior managers for the projects. At the 2012 Conference, Mr. Mostaed and Mr. Goetz shared presentation duties on "Successful Partnering" to a joint session of conference attendees. Mr. Goetz summed up the basis for the successful partnership this way; "It comes down to trust between the Department and the Contractor and treating each other with honesty and respect."
Well said Bernie. We're proud to have you as part of the E.S. Wagner team and of your leadership on the Wilmington Bypass Projects.
